Ms. Petra Oberbeck is specialized in
the fields of nonprofit tax law and the law of nonprofit associations
and limited liability companies. She mainly focuses on advising
charitable organizations (with a special focus on religious
organizations, churches, and environmental organizations)
and business leagues on all relevant legal questions that
come up. As an expert in sports law and as a licensed boxing
coach, Ms. Oberbeck also represents numerous sports clubs
and sportsmen. With regard to the latter, Ms. Oberbeck is
specifically committed to represent boxers and their managers
with respect to typcial legal issues they have to deal with
as members of the German and the international boxing scene.
After obtaining her degree as a Certified Public Manager from
Mayen University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration,
Ms. Oberbeck studied law at the University of Mannheim and
the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer. During
her studies, she set a strong focus on European and international
law.
After finishing her studies, Ms. Oberbeck worked at the European
Parliament in Brussels and for GLOBE Europe, a non-governmental
organization which operates mainly in the field of environmental
law. Prior to joining Winheller Attorneys at Law, Ms. Oberbeck
worked freelance as an attorney for an established law-firm
in the city of Ludwigshafen and as an in-house lawyer for
a religious organization in Berlin. Since spring 2006 Ms.
Oberbeck is in charge of the sports and nonprofit law department
of Winheller Attorneys at Law.
On a regular basis, Ms. Oberbeck gives lectures in her legal
fields of specialty.
