About
Dr. Christian Seyfert focuses his distinguished legal work on US, German and international intellectual property law and entertainment law. His broad legal expertise allows him to proficiently handle all cases that affect film law, music law, internet law, and software law issues. Dr. Seyfert is also a specialist in the competition law field. As a sophisticated trial attorney he enforces his clients' privacy and publicity rights in and out of court and handles the corresponding defamation claims.

Dr. Seyfert represents many of our clients from the entertainment industry like musicians, music composers, record labels, sound studios, filmmakers, production companies, fashion designers, and other artists and celebrities of all sorts. He also represents German and international business companies from within and without the entertainment industry with respect to all relevant competition law issues.

In the course of his LL.M. studies at the Golden Gate University in San Francisco (USA) and at the Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles (USA) as well as through his work as a visiting attorney and through his participation in numerous law conferences both in Germany and abroad, Dr. Seyfert gained extensive experience in his legal fields of interest. Prior to joining Winheller Attorneys at Law, he worked for the Max-Planck-Institute for Foreign Public Law and Public International Law in Heidelberg, Germany, and the Max-Planck-Institute for Foreign Private Law and Conflict of Laws in Hamburg, Germany.

Dr. Seyfert received the title "Doctor of Law" (Dr. jur.) with the academic degree "summa cum laude" from the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuernberg. For his doctoral thesis, he received a money award from the Schmitz-Nuechterlein-Stiftung, and a doctorate award for outstanding academic performance from the law faculty of the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuernberg. Dr. Seyfert is a merit scholarship recipient from the Golden Gate University in San Francisco (USA) and received his LL.M. degree "with honors."

Dr. Seyfert has published numerous articles in his fields of speciality.
