Mr. Andreas Warkentin heads the firm's capital market law
and securities litigation department. He advises aggrieved
private and institutional investors and enforces their claims
for performance and damages in and out of court against publicly
traded companies, banks, financial service providers, investment
advisors, insurance companies and initiators of fraudulent
capital investments. Mr. Warkentin has filed numerous individual
and collective suits against a wide range of German and international
defendants and thus successfully recovered large amounts of
damages for our clients.
Mr. Warkentin genererally advises our clients on German law.
However, in cases that require profound legal expertise in
foreign law and in questions on foreign jurisdictions like
it is often the case in international securities law and investment
fraud matters, he confidently cooperates with our
international partner law firms in order to successfully
enforce our clients´ claims.
After studying at Wiesbaden
University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration
und thus obtaining the degree of a Certified Public Manager
Mr. Warkentin studied law at the University
of Frankfurt. After completing postgraduate studies focusing
on capital market law and international law at the University
of Halle he received a Master of Laws degree in international
economic law (LL.M. oec.int.) "with highest honors" (summa
cum laude).
Mr. Warkentin has proven his scientific expertise by working
four years as a scientific assistant for Professor Schmidt-De
Caluwe, the holder of the Chair for Public Law at Halle University.
His dissertation-thesis on questions on German constitutional
law is in progress.
