Michael Hecht is a German Certified Tax Advisor, Specialist Advisor for Nonprofit Organizations (DStV e.V.), and Foundation Advisor (EBS) and heads the NPO tax department at our firm's head office in Frankfurt/Main.

His areas of expertise are

• Accounting in nonprofit foundations, associations, limited liability companies, stock corporations, cooperatives, etc. in accordance with commercial accounting and financial reporting regulations and taking into account the different spheres of German nonprofit law
• Proof of the statutory appropriation of funds and legally permissible reserves
• Tax declaration for the taxation of charitable foundations, associations, LLCs, stock corporations, cooperatives, etc.

Before joining WINHELLER, Michael Hecht successfully established and managed the “Foundations and Charities” division in a medium-sized tax consultancy firm.

Michael Hecht trained as an industrial clerk and holds a degree in business administration (FH). Before specializing in tax law, he gained extensive international experience, including as a commercial project developer in the construction industry and as a management consultant in China.

In his spare time, Michael Hecht is active in sports and has volunteered as treasurer of the Main-Spessart section of the German Alpine Club. His sporting activities include mountaineering, cycling, tennis and golf.
