Maike Neu is an attorney at law in WINHELLER’s Nonprofit Team in Frankfurt/Main. She advises foundations, associations, charitable limited liability companies (gGmbHs), and other nonprofit organizations on a range of legal and tax matters.

Her practice focuses on nonprofit law, association law, foundation law, and general contract law. She primarily assists her clients with:

• Establishing nonprofit organizations
• Drafting and revising bylaws and articles of association, including ensuring compliance with their provisions
• Preparing for and assisting with members’ and shareholders’ meetings, as well as changes in board members and managing directors
• Drafting and reviewing contracts, including cooperation and sponsorship agreements
• Providing interim support and representation to in-house legal counsel at nonprofit organizations
• Advising on civil law matters in the nonprofit sector

Maike Neu also teaches nonprofit law at the Ludwigsburg University of Public Administration and Finance.

Before joining WINHELLER, she worked in the tax and corporate law practice of an internationally operating audit and consulting firm, where she focused on nonprofit law. She had already worked there during her legal traineeship. Other stages of her legal traineeship included the Stuttgart Region Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), where she focused on chamber and tax law, and an international business law firm in Seoul, where she gained particular experience in corporate law.

She studied law at the University of Konstanz and the University of Valencia, specializing in tax law.
