Laura Stieler is an attorney at law in our nonprofit team in Frankfurt/Main. She advises foundations, associations and other nonprofit organizations throughout Germany. Her practice focuses on association and federation law, foundation law and related nonprofit law. She supports clients with ongoing legal advice as well as with structural and organizational issues related to their work. Her areas of expertise include, in particular:

• Advice on formation, drafting of bylaws and restructuring
• Support with general meetings, changes in the board of directors and internal conflicts
• Advice on nonprofit law, in particular on compliance with statutes and the use of funds
• Drafting and reviewing contracts, regulations and rules of procedure under association law
• Advice on civil law issues for nonprofit organizations

Before joining WINHELLER, Laura Stieler completed her legal clerkship in Wiesbaden. She gained international experience during her internship at The Walt Disney Company (GER) GmbH, where she worked primarily in media and copyright law as well as association law. During this time, she was also involved as a board member of the Verein der Rechtsreferendare Hessen e.V. (Association of Legal Clerks in Hesse).

She completed her law studies at Justus Liebig University in Giessen, Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main, and the University of Valencia in Spain. While still a student, she worked as a tutor and was actively involved in ELSA-Gießen e.V. as chief financial officer. Outside of work, Laura Stieler finds an important balance to her everyday legal life in aerial acrobatics and painting.
